We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA and more) through 3 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, New Jersey, and California. We also provide order management and merchandising services to many retailers across multiple class of trade to drive the customer experience. District Merchandising Manager Role:
National wholesale merchandise Distribution Company searching for a Full-Time District Manager to oversee our stores and field merchandisers in various locations within the Philadelphia, PA area and these markets:
Essential Job Functions
Work closely with the Regional Merchandising Manager with the support of the Director of Merchandising to assign merchandisers to service stores and tasks.
Train and Coach new hires within the assigned district to place orders for needed inventory according to store demand using a provided hand-held unit, how to write orders, and process return damages.
Maintain knowledge of current sales, retailer promotions, merchandising, and policies regarding inventory, invoicing, and returns.
Perform store audits and work with visits every week to provide performance, training, coaching, and opportunities for feedback.
Provide consistent and professional communication and relationships with store managers and associates at all times.
Drive accountability of the field merchandising team at the store level with our KPIs to deliver excellence for our customers.
Responsible for a few stores within your district to keep up with technology, processes, issues, and opportunities to better manage and support the Field Merchandisers.
Bring forward a proactive approach with the field team for planning and execution at the store level.
Potential Tasks and Responsibilities( including but not limited to)
Map out the most efficient territories and routes for field merchandisers with tools.
Address any field issues within the district inclusive of hiring, disciplinary actions, training, and coverage issues. Elevate to Regional Manager as needed.
Verify completion of stores vs. planned stores to drive accountability and customer satisfaction.
Ensure L&R re-order tags are accurate: Order additional products as needed
Knowledge of return policies on the intra-net
Ability to conduct physical work, frequently lift 15lbs to 40lbs.
Live and display the L&R Way principles with the team and our customers
Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D / Bachelors’ degree preferred
Managerial experience preferred with experience in retail or a client services company a plus
Customer Service and verbal communication skills
Must have a valid driver’s license to make store visits
Personal vehicle preferred; including proof of car Insurance
Computer with internet connection and access to a printer
