L&R is one of the largest distributors and purchasers of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA, and more) through 3 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, New Jersey, and Nevada.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Logistics & Fulfillment Manager to oversee our e-commerce supply chain operations. This role will ensure seamless inventory management, order fulfillment, and delivery processes while driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and skilled at optimizing logistics workflows in a high-volume e-commerce environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily e-commerce order processing, ensuring on-time and accurate fulfillment.
- Partner with fulfillment centers, 3PL providers, and internal teams to meet delivery performance metrics.
- Develop strategies to enhance the speed and accuracy of picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Partner with the supply chain team to ensure accurate forecasting and replenishment.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and address discrepancies.
- Manage relationships with carriers and negotiate shipping rates to ensure cost-effective delivery solutions.
- Track and analyze shipment data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Resolve shipping and delivery issues proactively to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor the fulfillment team to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations, to align logistics and fulfillment strategies with business objectives.
- Optimize the use of e-commerce and logistics platforms, such as Shopify, Netsuite, or equivalent tools.
- Identify and implement system enhancements to streamline order and inventory management.
- Develop KPIs for logistics and fulfillment performance, such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), order accuracy, and shipping cost per unit.
- Analyze data and prepare regular reports for management, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in logistics, e-commerce fulfillment, or supply chain management, preferably in CPG or a similar industry.
- Proven track record of managing 3PL relationships and optimizing fulfillment processes.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, ERP, and WMS systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, Walmart) and their logistics integration.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and industry best practices.
- Experience in cosmetics, beauty, or health & wellness product categories.
- Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST, with variation based on business demands
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000 - $90,000 per year
