LS Black is currently seeking an experienced Travel Superintendent to effectively supervise all aspects of the assigned project, including field operations, site safety, schedule management, productivity, and quality control. The Travel Superintendent will ensure that project goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget.
Key responsibilities and work areas for the position include:
- Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities including LS Black staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and testing agencies.
- Participates and/or manages the 3-phase quality control program
- Oversees the implementation of the Project Specific Safety Plan
- Conducts weekly foreman meetings and participates in weekly progress meeting with project team members
- Maintains and updates 4-week schedules on a weekly basis to ensure material orders have been placed, necessary equipment is available on-site, necessary personnel and subcontractors have been notified
- Works with project management staff to ensure overall project schedule is on track and assist with monthly project schedule updates
- Assist with preconstruction documentation
- Ensure on-site documentation is compliant with the project requirements
- Responsible for daily reports in project management software
- Responsible for maintaining budget during the duration of the project
- Understands contract documents
- Build and maintain relationships with project team members
Qualifications and Abilities
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to relocate to project sites for long-term assignments
- Minimum 5 years of construction-related experience
- Strong leadership skills
- OSHA 30 certification
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to direct, organize and communicate with team members at all levels
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in stressful situations.
Preferred:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or construction-related field

Salary : $92,000 - $113,500
