Responsibilities:
- Set-up of CNC machines to bore, face, mill, drill, and tap.
- Regularly perform milling, turning, drilling tapping de-burring, sawing, and sanding tasks.
- Align distances to ensure accurate alignment.
- Hold tolerances as needed for all CNC machining operations.
- Able to create set-up sheets or sequence of machining.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow prescribed safety procedures.
- Perform inspections of machined products and document results.
- Work with G codes, CNC programming, and off-line programming.
- Assist other shop departments with skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor or shop manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of related experience.
Physical demands:
- The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling of heavy objects with the assistants of an overhead crane.
- Uneven or slippery walking surfaces.
- Able to wear proper PPE (i.e. hearing protection, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.).
