JOB SUMMARY:
- Apply engineering theory and technical skills to support electrical engineering activities.
- Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings and parts lists used for the manufacture and installation of equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school or equal).
- 2 - 3 years of related experience.
- Computer Skills including EPLAN, Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical, and Microsoft Office.
DESIRABLE:
- Knowledge of NEC & UL 508A requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create detail and assembly drawings of design components and circuitry using computer-aided design (CAD) software and standard drafting techniques.
- Select and design parts to meet functional, cost and delivery requirements, and create parts lists used for the procurement, manufacturing and installation of equipment.
- Consult with engineers to discuss and interpret design concepts, and determine requirements of detailed working drawings.
- Understand manufacturing and installation processes and what is required on detail and assembly drawings to accomplish them.
- Read and understand schematics and drawings of mechanical systems.
- Maintain parts database and drawing libraries.
- Review work performed by his/her peers for correctness.
- Perform equipment sizing and design calculations.

- Fluent in English language.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Sitting at desk for extended periods of time.
- Normally in an office environment but will be exposed to shop and site environment as job requires.
- Aerial work may be required.
- Environmental conditions vary from facility to facility (i.e. heat, noise).
- Occasional lifting of heavy objects.
- Uneven or slippery walking surfaces.
- Work from assigned L&S office unless prior approval given.
