As an Industrial Gearbox Reducer Assembler, you’ll be responsible for precisely assembling, inspecting, and testing gearbox reducers to ensure top-tier performance. You’ll work with high-precision components, use advanced measurement tools, and follow engineering blueprints to assemble industrial gearbox systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assemble industrial gearbox reducers according to blueprints, specifications, and engineering guidelines.
· Perform inspections and measurements using precision tools (micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches) to ensure tolerances are met.
· Align gears, bearings, and shafts for proper fit and smooth operation.
· Lubricate, seal, and calibrate assembled gearboxes for optimal performance.
· Test and troubleshoot newly assembled units to ensure they meet performance standards.
· Work collaboratively with engineers, quality control teams, and fellow assemblers to ensure high-quality production.
· Follow strict safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
· Document assembly procedures and any issues encountered for continuous process improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
· High school education or equivalent.
· Minimum 2 years experience in industrial gearbox assembly, mechanical assembly, or a related field.
· Technical Knowledge: Understanding of gear ratios, bearing fits, lubrication systems, and mechanical drive components.
· Mechanical Aptitude: Strong ability to troubleshoot, fit and assemble precision mechanical components
· Attention to Detail: Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics
· Physical Capability: Abilit to life up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods and work in an industrial environment
· Team Player: Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced production environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Mechanical aptitude and assembly experience preferred.
· Experience with hydraulic presses, balancing equipment or dynamic testing.
· Familiarity with ISO quality standards and lean manufacturing principles.
· Certifications in industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly or machining.
· Excellent manual dexterity, comfortable with the use of hand tools such as: Hammer, drill, key wrench, torque wrench, screwdrivers, pliers...
· Experience with industrial tools such as: vertical drill, industrial press and hoist.
· Experience with measuring tools such as: Caliper, thickness gauge and multimeter.
· Must be organized and possess time management skills and skills to adapt to priority changes.
· Must be able to work in a supportive team environment that is fast paced with a strong commitment to accountability.
· Must be able to follow and communicate both written and verbal information clearly in English with minimal supervision.
