You will be responsible for representing us to clients by conveying a positive professional image, leading, and growing sales within a territory, while striving to reach personal and companywide goals. We are looking for a person to be a driver in growing our market presence and building positive, meaningful relationships with vendors, current, and new clients, all the while having some fun with your clients, too!
JOB FUNCTION:
Strategic planner with proven track record that can generate sales growth for the region. Collaborate with territory managers (TM), vendors, customers, and L&S resources to understand and solve customer challenges. Successfully manage sales team, sales forecast, achieve annual budget, and personal goals in assigned states of Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Southern Wisconsin.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- You are proactive, persuasive, and have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- You have the desire to collaborate with the customers and company resources to understand and execute strategies on plans and achieve sales goals with your team.
- You excel at promoting the company’s image, products, and services.
- Strive to provide the best service to internal and external clients along with building trust and respect.
- You have the discipline to communicate and to obtain and to share Customers feedback.
- You are determined to gain knowledge about your territory, to learn your competition, and to plan for the best for your territory and territory managers, because you have prior experience with industrial and utility sales.
- You are forward looking manager that can gain and expand your customer base through tradeshows and other customer events and be able to help the marketing team.
- You have experience or are willing to learn about electric motors, drives, controls, switchgear, motor repair services, power services, control panels and/or predictive maintenance programs.
- You have commercial and business acumen to lead through Customers and Vendors issues.
- You can create, manage, maintain, and enhance relationships with key personnel at top accounts.
- You can prospect and promote L&S products, engineering, and services in the region.
- You could navigate and understand customers decision making people and processes and award criteria to support TMs to win.
- You are a strong leader with forward looking ability to identify any challenges that your TM’s could face.
- You could work with the customers and L&S operations to manage through technical and commercial challenges.
- You are able to create an annual sales plan, annual budget, and forecast for TM’s goals setting.
- You are able to travel and visit your TMs and customers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, with 5 years of sales or related electrical/mechanical experience.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively with TMs, vendors, and customers.
- Energetic, self-motivated, results driven.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP tools.
- Ability to convey a positive, professional, and friendly image.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record; able to be insured.
- You are willing and able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Able to work for any employer in the United States
Preferred Experience:
- Have experience with electrical services, repair of electric motors, generators, rotating apparatus, on-site services, power services, reliability/predictive maintenance services, and engineering design.
- Understand products such as electric motors, AC and DC drives, soft starters, industrial controls, power distribution equipment, excitation systems, governors, and power transmission equipment.
