Job Summary
As the Sub Recruiter at L&S, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing top talent to drive our projects forward. You will be responsible for assisting the sub capacity manager in identifying, evaluating, and securing contracts of sub crews, managing relationships with subcontractors, and act as a mediator between subcontractors and L&S.
General Responsibilities
- Source and identify qualified subcontractor candidates through various recruiting channels.
- Develop and maintain a network of potential subcontractors to meet current and future project needs.
- Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess subcontractor qualifications and fit for specific projects.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontractor agreements in alignment with company policies
- Manage subcontractor onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
- Handle sub crews' back charges, punch, licensing, and insurance.
- Provide guidance and support to subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create and implement protocols for mediation between subcontractors and L&S personnel.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve any subcontractor-related issues or discrepancies.
- Assist subcontractors in accessing and navigating necessary technology for L&S-related, electronic communications.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in recruiting in the subcontracting industry.
- Trade knowledge preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting subcontractors across various trades.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and compliance related to subcontracting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.
- Strong networking skills with the ability to source candidates through various channels.
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflict and achieve an ideal resolution.
- Willingness to travel across the Houston area and surrounding subdivisions.
- Perform the physical demands of the position - working indoors and/or outdoors with long periods of time standing; listening and speaking on the telephone; viewing monitor and workstation. Climbing steep stairs, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching; able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds, and pushing
