Job Summary
As Warehouse Supervisor at L&S Mechanical, you will be responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations within the warehouse.
Primary Functions
- Active floor supervision (80%)
- Assist with Inventory Control Management
- Lead a team of 1-10 Warehouse Associates
- Execute SOP’s and assist in standardization and revision efforts of SOP’s
- Run and interpret reports
o Open Order Report
o Released Report
o Unreleased Report
o Partial Release Report
o WMS reports
- Coordinate staff schedules
o Make suggestions for changes to individual or team shifts
- Active involvement in all aspects of Health and Safety
o Follow all Health and Safety Policies
o Actively identify safety issues
o Correct and properly document issues.
- Lead and/or mentor Warehouse Associates I, II & III including the training and development of warehouse staff
- Actively participate in the hiring process of new associates
- Drive warehouse associate accountability
- Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers to include, but not limited to: Production, Subcontractors, Vendors, Purchasing and Service
- Proactively communicate with management
Qualifications
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position - working in indoor and outdoor ele
- ments with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow); climbing ladders and steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects
- Forklift Certification
- Ability and willingness to learn the Warehouse systems and equipment used in a warehouse setting
- Competent to take direction with a positive attitude and complete quality of work on schedule
- Must have above average emotional intelligence, communication, time management, conflict resolution, and adaptability skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse processes and procedures to achieve efficiency and meet organizational goals
- Experience with Excel spreadsheets, V-lookups and pivot tables
- Must have a TEAMWORK mentality
- 2-5 years at L&S Mechanical or equivalent warehouse experience
- Ability to identify and solve problems
