We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks for our growing over-the-road trucking company. The Administrative Assistant responsibilities include preparing reports, processing load paperwork and distributing it to the necessary parties, accurate data entry and load tracking, and maintaining appropriate electronic filing systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and will be able to organize their workload to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Ultimately, a successful Administrative Assistant must be able to contribute to the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office and work in unison with our existing team while maintaining a positive attitude. Starting compensation will be based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Process paperwork pertaining to loads such as broker/carrier agreements, load confirmations, and bills of lading
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Maintain an effective digital filing system
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures as needed
- Provide general support to drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and owners
Skills And Preferred Attributes:

- Strong Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and Adobe

- High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative Assistant or Secretary will be a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
