What are the responsibilities and job description for the Windchill Solution Architect position at L&T Technology Services?
1. Windchill Application Maintenance & Support:
Ensure availability of Windchill and its integrated applications.
Maintain applications for periodic upgrades, backups, and patch installations.
Support engineering user base (4000 ) for issues reported w.r.t to application usability / functionality / process.
Troubleshoot issues for root cause analysis and hence resolution.
Add new users to application and provide appropriate access to them based on their role.
Liaison between Engineering Services and offshore technical team, infrastructure team, helpdesk, and be a single point of contact / onsite coordinator.
2. Enhancement and customization of application:
Gather requirements from business subject matter experts (SMEs), map the requirement with Windchill capabilities.
Identify areas that can be addressed using Windchill out of the box functionalities, while other to be addressed using customized code developed using Java, J2EE and Windchill APIs.
Experience on Platform Structures, O&V, Configurable Modules and Overloaded BoMs
Participate in Technical Team Reviews, Enhancement Team Reviews, Change Management Board meetings, and Corporate Standards Council for Common Components / Library Parts
Validation of customized functionality using Unit Test cases, Integration test cases, and finally helping users to validate the functionality using User acceptance test (UAT).
Deploying the validated custom codes using deployment framework that uses Subversion application for version control of deployments on the environment thru different environments (Development à QA à Stage à Production)
Experience on CI/CD Pipeline and DevOps, release management, Scheduling, and sign offs
3. Onboard new business units:
Train users to get started with using Windchill / PTC tool suite. Help them understand how Windchill application aligns with their business process.
Support users for adoption and go-live support.
Migrate their existing data from legacy systems / data sources to Windchill.
4. Change Management Optimization:
Discuss and get involved with SMEs of business units to understand process gaps. Standardize change process by streamlining a business unit processes with other business unit already on boarded to Windchill.
Conduct value stream mapping (VSM) workshops with SMEs across business units to understand pain points and address them in Windchill.
Helping business units to make use of new functionalities made available in newer versions of Windchill.
Experience on Engineering Change Processes, Manufacturing Change Processes, and Service Change Processes
Experience in Release to Manufacturing and downstream integration through ESI / ERP connection
5. Assessments:
Assessment of business units for readiness to use new modules offered by PTC suite of PLM products.
Conduct workshops with business unit SMEs to analysis value realization with new module implementation.
Formulate roadmap for solution deployment and enable project execution from offshore (LTTS, India).
6. Dashboards, Reports, Delivery, and Customer Engagement
Generate dashboards of SLAs, KPIs, Productivity, and present to the stakeholders monthly, quarterly, and yearly
Be a SPoC for all deliverables on PTC tool suite and own the overall delivery
Manage the team of 30 resources onsite/offshore
Generate reports of the workload of the resources and optimize with balancing the same
Participate in Market Feedback Analysis and CSAT
Manage the budgetary allocations, generate the monthly charges reports, and present to customer leadership
Help Ops team to generate the invoices and track them for the approval from customer in their financial systems, coordinate and resolve any conflicts.
The expected salary range for this position is between $81,500 to $1,57,500 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
