Responsibilities
- Deployment and maintenance of VDI deployments (VMWare Horizon View).
- Deployment and maintenance of various Windows infrastructure and services.
- Configuring, maintaining, and documenting the virtual server infrastructure.
- Maintaining Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Services, and Group Policy.
- Working with other engineers to configure network access for virtual desktops over a distributed network.
- Deploying new virtual servers, maintaining templates, and performing system updates.
- Updating and deploying VDI desktop images.
- Configuration of ESXi and vCenter.
- Monitoring resources; maintaining resource pools, user entitlements, and applicable policies.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting end user resource and connection issues, as well as hardware and software problems.
- Work-related experience designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows servers, as well as application deployment with platforms such as VMWare Horizon View
- Experience with modern versions of Microsoft Windows Server
- Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for patching workstations and servers
- VMWare Horizon View experience
- VSAN experience
Qualifications
Work-related experience designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows servers, as well as application deployment with platforms such as VMWare Horizon View
- Experience with modern versions of Microsoft Windows Server
- Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for patching workstations and servers
- VMWare Horizon View experience
Preferred Skills (Not required, but nice to have)
- Experience with other VDI products such as HyperV or Apache Guacamole
- Experience with network routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
- Experience with Linux. While this job does not focus on Linux, we do have some Linux in the infrastructure.
