Job Description
- Create detailed technical drawings for products using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Translate designs, sketches, ideas, and descriptions into accurate technical drawings on time.
- Analyze specifications, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to understand product requirements.
- Utilize production software to track drafting time for each order accurately.
- Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for product manufacturing.
- Demonstrate knowledge of material strengths and specify material gauges correctly on drawings.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with designers/drafters to explain design concepts.
- Share information and collaborate with colleagues throughout the design process.
Requirements
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in CAD, drafting, design, or a related field is required.
- Prior experience with AutoCAD is essential for this role.
