Job Description :
The Tactical Communications SW engineering group is looking for highly motivated individuals to expand its team of embedded waveform SW engineers to work on a collection of modern tactical military radios for DoD and Allied market space. These radios can be either single or multi-channel and support multiple modern mobile ad-hoc networking or line-of-sight waveforms. The candidate will work in a team environment; lead, design, and develop software components required to implement networking and waveform features on software defined radios. The candidate will participate in an Agile software development environment and be responsible for all aspects of software development and test. Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area. The candidate will provide input into new products, processes, standards and / or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business results.
Essential Functions :
- Member of an Agile Scrum team that develops SW for advanced tactical radio equipment.
- Responsible for research, design, and development of embedded software for software defined radio products.
- Develops and conducts software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Provides technical support to internal and external customers.
- Executes software development process in a CMMI Level 3 environment.
- Must be able to obtain a US security clearance.
Qualifications :
Requires comprehensive level knowledge of embedded software development on software defined radio platforms.
7 years of C / C programming language and Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
