Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Residential Alcohol Abuse and Detox Treatment
Location: North Hollywood, CA
Responsibilities:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by medical providers.
- Monitoring and assessing patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress throughout the detoxification process.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to patients during their treatment journey.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conducting health screenings and assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Educating patients and their families about the detoxification process and post-treatment care.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Assisting with discharge planning and follow-up care coordination.
Requirements:
- Valid and active LVN license in California.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as an LVN, preferably in addiction treatment or detox settings.
- Strong understanding of alcohol abuse, detoxification protocols, and withdrawal symptoms.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to addiction treatment and patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or additional training in addiction nursing or substance abuse counseling.
- Experience working with electronic health records KIPU program.
