ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Leadership & Team Development
- Develop and maintain a culture of collaboration, accountability, and mutual respect.
- Inspire and motivate a diverse team, ensuring alignment with organizational culture and goals.
- Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, empathy, and clear communication in all interactions.

Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of feed yard operations, including feeding, animal health, maintenance, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Develop, implement, and refine standard operating procedures to optimize productivity and reduce operational inefficiencies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of feed, supplies, and equipment to ensure continuous operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Supply chain management – commodity, corn, cattle.

Communication & Relationship Building
- Serve as the primary point of contact between leadership, associates, external stakeholders, and local harvesters, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
- Build strong relationships with associates, vendors, suppliers, and community partners to enhance operational success.
- Communicate operational updates, challenges, and successes effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Develop customer relations by identifying new partnerships.
- Selling cattle – negotiating cattle sales with regional harvesters
Health, Safety, and Compliance- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to animal welfare, environmental standards, and workplace safety.
- Champion health and safety initiatives to protect associates, livestock, and the environment.
- Develop and implement Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to address potential operational disruptions.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement- Work closely with executive leadership to set operational goals, budgets, and performance benchmarks.
- Oversee CAPEX projects.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of operations.
- Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as feed efficiency, animal health, and operational costs.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Business Management, Animal Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership position is required, experience in feed yard operations, ranch management, or a related agricultural sector is desired but not required.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Fluent Spanish & English (read, write, speak) preferred
