What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millworker position at La Bastille?
La Bastille is a global leader in architectural metal castings. Established in 2010, we design and handcraft custom bartops/countertops, range hoods and furnishings that are housed in some of the most beautiful residential and hospitality spaces around the country and the globe. We are growing and we have a position for a skilled, full-time millworker.
Qualifications:
Carpentry: 2 years (Required)
Wood Framing Residential: 2 years (Required)
Blueprint reading: 2 years (Required)
Driver's License (Required)
US work authorization (Required)
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Job Duties:
Complies with all PPE standards and is aware of all safety practices, follows safety rules and procedures, complies with all legal regulations.
Precisely measure, cut, and assemble lumber.
Completing work orders.
Day-to-day quality control and reviewing work to ensure it is performed to an acceptable level of workmanship.
Following direction, but also can work independently.
Following the required schedule.
Communicating in a cordial, professional manner with all team members
Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
Lift and carry heavy objects such as framing lumber, sheets of plywood,
Have a solid grasp of complex mathematical concepts in basic math functions and calculations.
Takes direction from Lead Millworker to properly assemble projects
Read and interpret plans from Design Department.
Select and manage required materials.
Must be able to use a wide variety of hand and power tools, including power tools such as saws, drills, and nail guns, and basic hand tools such as a hammer, framer’s square, and measuring tape, also must understand the use and maintenance of all trade-specific tools and equipment.
