Welcome guests upon arrival to the property courteously and efficiently; greet guests, determine the reason for visit, assist check-in process if checking in, and direct accordingly. Provide information and assistance to all guests and visitors.
The Welcome Station Agent shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Resort and Spa Culture as well as promoting the resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain inventory of vehicle dash cards for guest arrivals.
- Maintains a neat and orderly control desk and area.
- Consistently presents a polished and professional role model image to guests, coworkers, and other departments.
- Communicate efficient and accurate information on arriving guests to responsible parties.
- Remain observant of all surroundings, controlling the entrance of the gate.
- Maintain complete knowledge of property and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
- Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:
- All hotel features/services, and hours of operation.
- All offerings and events.
- Meet with the Supervisor to review daily assignments and priorities.
- Set up the workstation with necessary supplies.
- Promote positive guest relations to all individuals approaching the Welcome Station.
- Verify Dash Card information upon guest returns.
- Direct deliveries appropriately to designated areas.
- Remain outdoors for the entire shift, even during inclement weather conditions.
- Communicate VIP arrivals to designated personnel for escort.
- Legibly document maintenance needs on work orders and submit them to the manager.
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Compute basic arithmetic.
- Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
- Excellent phone & verbal communication skills.
- Flexible schedule.
