The Plastic Card Services Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations and growth of the plastic portfolio. The department provides service to both credit and debit plastic card account holders, including processing and monitoring plastic card disputes and fraud cases. Plastic Card Services staff also assists La Capitol FCU staff with fulfilling the needs of members.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Plastic Card Services Manager directly supervises employees in the roles of Plastics Processor I and Plastics Processor II. The Plastic Card Services Manager is responsible for the performance, management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
1. Hire, train, and supervise staff in the Plastic Card Services Department.
2. Staff must maintain and improve member service levels.
3. Develop, apply and ensure departmental processes are achieving the most effective operational efficiencies.
4. Grow credit union portfolio through joint promotional efforts with plastic card processor and in-house marketing.
5. Collaborate with the lending and collections departments on the plastic card program to achieve annual strategic goals.
6. Monitor and analyze activity to proactively reduce plastic card fraud.
7. Plastic Card Service Manager must meet and/or exceed all service and sales expectations.
8. Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition
9. Develop, analyze, and complete monthly department reports.
10. Prepare, implement, and supervise the budget for the department that is consistent with the overall strategy of the credit union.
11. Review and serve as advisor for authorizations that exceed established limits.
12. Review credit limit increases, name changes, and procedures as they relate to credit maintenance.
13. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
14. Understands compliance issues and attends training as they relate to credit union services including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act, Reg P and Patriot Act
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to work from home or any of our offices when needed.
