Terms of Employment:
Position Description: Our coaches suppport the district mission by:
- Coaching and developing players on the High School JV team as well as assisting the head coach of the varsity team
- Expectation will be to work with the head coach to help build a cohesive 7-12 program
Terms of Employment:
- November 17, 2025 - February 6, 2026
- Must be available after school for practices and games (practices will be worked out with the head varsity coach)
- Current CPR/First-Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
- Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant's expense
Salary: $3,150 - $4,305/season depending on experience
Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience playing basketball at the high school level or beyond
- Some coaching experience in any sport
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience playing basketball at the college level or beyond
- Experience coaching basketball at the high school level or higher
- Available to assist the high school program with summer workouts and fundraising
