What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unified Soccer Coach- High School position at La Center School District?

- Providing a positive environment for students to have fun in the game of soccer
- Tending to the needs of the students from the Life Skills program
- Communicating with parents as it pertains to the team
- Creating practice plans for 1.5 hours for each practice
Terms of Employment:
- March 10, 2025 - May 10, 2025
- Be available 1 day a week for practices after school and Saturdays for games
- Current CPR/First Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
- Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state, federal and Special Olympics background checks including fingerprinting as the applicant's expense
Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State Law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- 21 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience coaching or playing soccer at the Middle School level or beyond
- Experience working with students with special needs
