Roles and responsibilities:
The primary role of the Summer Planning Intern will be to work with Planning Department staff to develop the Community Health Needs Assessment. Tasks may include data collection, data analysis, and preparation of the final document and presentation materials. The intern will synthesize data from various secondary data sources into a detailed report that will inform Planning Department grant proposals and strategic activities for the year ahead. The intern will have an opportunity to present key findings to the Planning Department and other key stakeholders within La Clínica. This project requires independent work and provides an opportunity to develop an essential public health/public policy skill: needs assessment.
