The WinterSpring Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Learning Well team in maintaining the quality of excellence and integrity in the facilitation and support of WinterSpring groups and classes. The WinterSpring Coordinator is an integral leader in the development, operations, and growth of WinterSpring programs and a critical partner to the overall success of La Clinica.
WinterSpring Coordinators have specific areas of focus that are determined annually to support the strategic and operational needs of the organization. These areas of focus may include a combination of one or more of the following support groups: Bereaved Parents, Spouse & Partner Loss, Sudden Death, Men and Grief, Circle of Grief, Seasons of Grief, Teen Grief, Children’s Program, and one or more of the following classes: Introduction to Companioning, Group Facilitator Training, Crisis & Sudden Death in the Workplace, Navigating the Stormy Seas of Grief.
The WinterSpring Manager will incorporate the interests and talents of each WinterSpring Coordinator along with the needs of the organization and develop a combination of focus areas for each team member each year. Duties and goals will be assigned in the annual work plan and reflected in the Goal Setting and Performance Review process. While the intention is to create focus, clarity and specific role outcomes, other duties may be assigned dependent on emerging needs of the program.
Accountabilities Include:
Performs Essential Job Duties
Facilitator
- Provides facilitation of grief support programs in accordance with WinterSpring and The Learning Well ethical standards; and all existing federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Works with external partners to develop customer-centric content for WinterSpring groups. Facilitates workshops according to the terms outlined in partnership contracts or other program specific grants and supports volunteers in doing the same.

Documents participant engagement in EPIC and is responsible for following workflows that result in capturing participant activities.
- CareSTEP: Education Provided in Group Setting
- CareSTEP: Care Coordination text message exchange, Virtual Visits (Advanced Technology Interaction)
- CareSTEP: Health and Wellness call
Facilitator development
- Support WinterSpring Facilitator in Training (FIT) program to ensure the engagement and mentorship for emerging facilitators. Ensures written documentation, competency checklist and feedback systems are in place to ensure a high level of growth and development in the art of facilitation.
Coordination of Services
- In collaboration with the Learning Well team, and the medical, dental, behavioral health and other social services of the organization, the WinterSpring Coordinator works to ensure the highest quality of unique, equity centered services, including the annual planning and goal setting for programs, including but not limited to the scheduling, facilitator engagement and financial planning, and collaboration with communications staff to ensure optimal promotion of services
- Provides feedback and serves as a consultant to Learning Well Manager to coordinate operations, day to day activities, services, and volunteers, to deliver impeccable service to participants and facilitation staff and ensure seamless program delivery.
- Utilizes evaluation data to maintain, correct and/or improve the delivery of programs and coaching services.
Course Content Design
- Works with WinterSpring Manager and the Learning Well team to designs new content and ensures program content remains relevant in the field of grief, personal growth and adult learning.
- Follows established procedure to develop high quality materials and deliver them to program management according to schedule.
- Partners with the Learning Well team and external stakeholders to ensures program curriculum and design aligns with emerging workforce needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- Minimum of five to seven years of experience in grief support, personal development, adult learning, behavioral health, coaching, or related field
- Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Skills to intervene and promote reconciliation, win/win and positive outcomes in difficult interactions
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in health related or personal growth / coaching field
- Advanced knowledge of adult learning and behavior change models
