Key Responsibilities
- The SBHC Team Lead provides direct supervision, coaching, development and performance management of all SBHC Patient Service Representatives.
- Investigates clinic scheduling errors, patient volume and flow, unkept appointments and rescheduling, and providers’ time utilization.
- Serves as an expert user of business and clinical system software including Telephone, Outlook, Epic and Meditracks.
- Responsible for the deployment of staff to assure the operational need of the clinic is met.
- Works in collaboration with other site coordinators to assure staff coverage across all sites, may require this position to work in these areas or positions as needed.
- Provides high quality customer service to patients, La Clinica providers and staff, referring providers, insurance carriers, and other community agencies that meets or exceeds the service standards of La Clinica.
- Duties include prompt and professional verbal and written communication; these customer service skills are expected to be shared with other members of the team.
- Provide day to day supervision of designated staff including performance improvement goals and tier completion.
- Responsible for the deployment of staff to assure the operational need of the clinic is met.
- Maintain experience and understanding of all clinical services policies and practices.
Education and/or Experience :
Required
- Minimum: High School Diploma and one-year experience in a leadership role
- Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Skills to intervene and promote reconciliation, compromise and positive outcomes in difficult interactions
- Skilled at using electronic health records as applicable to area of work
- Skilled at using electronic health records as applicable to area of work (EPIC)
- Associate degree in related field
- Basic knowledge of adult learning models
