Working under the direction of the Chairman and President within the multidisciplinary team of athlete care professionals in the Los Angeles Clippers Performance, Health, and Wellness (PHW) group, the Biomechanics Lab Manager will assist with biomechanical player testing and training protocols. They will serve as a key member on a team of professionals that is committed to inspiring leadership, and consistent, long-term excellence in both on- and off-court operations.
This individual is required to have extensive experience in high quality practice as a Biomechanist, an excellent framework of industry specific knowledge, and a clear grasp of emerging areas of analysis & development in movement analysis and sports injury management. This candidate must exemplify a high-performance approach to athlete wellness, with a focus on injury risk reduction and optimizing performance. To be highly considered, you should demonstrate an adaptable and effective communicator, exhibit an ability to lead, and be able take direction while working effectively and efficiently within a team environment.

The scope of this position encompasses a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation. What You Will Do
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for testing and training.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment with regular maintenance and calibration.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems to resolve issues quickly.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures for equipment use and maintenance.
- Coordinate scheduling of biomechanics testing and training sessions.
- Prepare for testing, set-up and breakdown of appropriate equipment for specific sessions.
- Manage data collections an ensure smooth safe and efficient testing sessions.
- Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data collected.
- Process data and generate testing and training reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized procedures and workspace that ensures athlete/team privacy.
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Assist PHW staff with efficient operation of equipment in testing and training areas.
- Keep accurate inventory of lab supplies
- Other duties as needed
- Graduate degree in Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Engineering or similar.
- An earned PhD or equivalent is preferred.
- Consideration will be given to individuals with a Master's degree and evidence of experience in similar settings.
- Experience conducting biomechanical testing or research with large numbers of athletes or subjects.
- Experience and/or participation with a collegiate-level or professional sports team.
- Experience in NBA level basketball preferred.
- Evidence of working as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
- The range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
