Bakery Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a keen interest in the food industry, with skills in food preparation and safety.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of various baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and bread.
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality in all products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
• Package finished products for sale or catering orders, ensuring proper presentation.
• Support cake decorating efforts by applying icing and decorative elements as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knives.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and special requests.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain a safe working environment.
• Skills in culinary techniques such as baking, pastry preparation, and cake decorating are advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are necessary for success in this role.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed.

Pay: $16.50 - $19.27 per hour
