Hiring Servers

Role: We invite you to join our team at La Cosecha Mexican Table! We are proud to offer a lively atmosphere featuring upscale Mexican food with a unique, fresh twist alongside a bustling happy hour service and weekend brunch. A server at La Cosecha Mexican Table is responsible for creating an exceptional experience for our guests. You will act as an extension of the restaurant, providing excellent food and beverage service to guests, while proactively being a team player who is attentive to guests’ needs.

Compensation Details: Hourly ($2.13) plus tips, often $17-$30/hourly and up on average

Job Summary: As a server you possess a sense of urgency, provide friendly service, utilize great communication skills, are knowledgeable in our menu offerings, are polished and professional at all times, and provide an overall sense of genuine hospitality to our customers.

Responsibilities & Duties:

· Welcome guests warmly and in a timely manner.

· Assist in ensuring an efficient flow of guests to maintain a smooth dining experience.

· Have a thorough understanding of our menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special features.

· Take and place guests’ orders accurately, including special requests or dietary restrictions, and communicate accordingly with the kitchen and/or manager(s).

· Ensure orders are accurate, complete, on time and meet our standard of quality.

· Provide attentive and personalized service throughout the meal, offering suggestions where needed, and developing relationships with guests to deliver a notable experience.

· Complete opening/pre-shift, mid-shift, closing and side work procedures associated with your assigned position.

· Maintain a clean section, including pre-bussing, keeping tables clean, organized and properly set. Clear empty dishes and used tableware promptly to maintain a desirable environment.

· Work collaboratively with fellow servers, runners, kitchen staff, bartenders, bussers, and hosts to provide seamless coordination.

· Handle guests concerns professionally and with the utmost respect, escalating issues as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

· 1 years of server experience

· Knowledge of classic food and beverage service

· Detail oriented with a strong work ethic and communication skills

· Team oriented with ability to partner with and assist others to achieve common goals

· Able to navigate a fast-paced environment in a positive, respectful, professional manner

· Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure

· Use basic computer POS software

· Be able to move or lift objects up to 25 pounds at a time

· Flexibility to work hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

· Certified for food and alcohol service as is required by state and local authorities

· Prolonged periods of being on your feet per shift
