Event Coordinator
The position requires an individual who is outgoing, dedicated, self-motivated and must possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written. This position will require weekend and evening work surrounding our event schedule.
Position Title: La Crescent Area Event Center - Event Coordinator
Position Summary: This position will serve under the direction of the Event Center General Manager. This individual will be primarily responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing all details of events from start to finish. This individual will also assist with managing various events at the La Crescent Area Event Center.
Reports To: La Crescent Area Event Center General Manager, or the Board of Directors President in their absence
Job Responsibilities
* Follow up on leads for potential new clients
* Answer phone calls and emails for existing and potential clients
* Coordinate with clients and vendors for upcoming events
* Plan event details including seating, dining, and guests
* Collaborate with staff members regarding event setup needs
* Provide customer service for existing clients
* Act as the main point of contact for clients prior to, during, and after an event
* Create reports regarding event and financial details
* Manage events and address potential problems that may arise
* Assist with marketing and social media as assigned by General Manager
* Perform other clerical duties and tasks as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications

* Must be able to adhere to process protocol
* Move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision from the La Crescent Area General Manager. Much of the work is self-initiated. This individual will be expected to function with considerable independence and apply appropriate policies and procedures within the assigned area of responsibility.
Classification: Salary, exempt, up to 40 hours or more per week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
