As a semi-skilled worker in the County Highway Department, you will patrol the road and perform damage repairs, cleanup, snow plowing, and other roadwork duties. You will use your independent judgment and often work alone. But don't worry, you'll be part of a supportive, collaborative, inclusive, and diverse workforce that values teamwork, honesty, and integrity.
This is a full-time position with hours that allow balance between work and personal life.
Summer : Monday-Thursday 6 : 00am-4 : 00pm.
Winter : Monday-Friday 7 : 00am-3 : 00pm.
Wage Range : $25.13 - $30.79

Performs road patching and road maintenance; plows snow; picks up trash and debris along roadside and other debris on or along the road.
Operates and assists in the maintenance of standard highway equipment.
Erects snow fences, guardrails and signs.
Receives complaints and requests from the public.
Keeps records of work performed and time involved in performing the work.
Maintains availability and accessibility by phone for overtime work during snowstorms or when other road damage occurs.
Works safely and follows safety practices and standards of the County Highway Department; responsible for reporting and / or correcting any existing or potential safety or accident hazard.
