Overview
We are seeking a Barista / Server position that is a person also open to learning or who already possess light kitchen skills. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and are eager to learn and grow within the culinary field.
As a Barista, training will also be provided.
The ideal candidate enjoys serving customers and meeting people.
The perfect candidate will have or be able to quickly obtain a Louisiana Responsible Alcohol Servers Permit
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations to guarantee a safe dining experience for customers.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food processors.
- Support front-of-house staff during busy periods by assisting with cash handling and customer service as needed.
- Utilize POS systems effectively to process orders and manage transactions accurately.
Experience
- Previous experience in food handling or preparation is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is highly desirable.
- A passion for coffee or knowledge of coffee preparation can be an added advantage.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
