Position Summary
Under direct supervision performs various tasks to ensure residents receive food in a timely manner, eating and kitchen areas are clean, and inventory is maintained, as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation and portioning of meal items according to menu and diet requirements. Reviews menus for special diet needs prior to the meal
- Assists in the service of meals in accordance with sanitation standards
- Keep accurate records of residents’ dietary needs
- Maintain standards of meal service regarding food distribution, timing, taste, and presentation
- Prepare, pour, and serve beverages for meals and nourishment and restocks beverage supplies as needed
- Clears and cleans tables, reset tables with condiments, utensils, and dishes for next meal
- Sets up trays according to menu and diet requirements and prepares for service to the units and / or dining room.
- Perform cleaning assignments as directed
- Performs other related duties as required or requested
