Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain the appearance of surfaces.
• Carry out commercial and industrial cleaning duties in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
• Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Occasionally assist with residential painting projects as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is an advantage.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 29 per week
