Job Summary
As a Floor Manager at our vibrant and bustling Mexican restaurant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee front-of-house activities, manage staff, and ensure that our high standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness are consistently met.
The Floor Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in day-to-day operations of the restaurant and upholding La Fortaleza’s standards and culture in shift management responsibilities of restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of the floor staff
- Train and mentor new employees on service standards and job duties
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a welcoming environment
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the management team to optimize operations and enhance guest experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a floor manager or in a similar supervisory role within a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Proficiency in Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Knowledge of food management practices and industry regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements for Success:
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
- Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
- Able to recognize problems, set goals, execute and convert plans into action to solve problems
- Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people and cost management
- Proficient in a variety of technology systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly
- Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends and travel as needed for work-related functions and training
- Must complete all required La Fortaleza’s company training programs
- 2 years of restaurant or retail management experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
