What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Specialist position at La Frontera Arizona, Inc.?
SUMMARY
Provides administrative support to the team on various HR projects and initiatives. Performs a variety of human resources administration functions which include personnel file maintenance, database administration, onboarding and special projects. Acts as a resource and liaison for employees.
1. Handles employment verifications.
2. Operates badge creation and maintenance.
3. Assists with the recruiting and onboarding process, specifically with advertising formation, implementation, and associated billing.
4. Supports with applicant intake, review, inquiring and process.
5. Maintains records retention, i.e. HR electronic file maintenance.
6. Offers New Hire Orientation support, i.e. tours, set-up, document collection / processing.
7. Assist when needed by attending job fairs to represent company.
8. Prepare / Coordinate for compliance audits.
9. Assists in compiling data for routine and special reports; may perform mathematical computations.
10. Responds to employee inquiries and issues by providing prompt and accurate information and services in a professional manner.
11. Offers support in areas of benefits, recruiting, data flow and general human resource employee questions.
12. Offers support on special projects.
13. May act as a back-up person in the absence of a team member.
14. Makes recommendations for continuous improvement in HR processes.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Training and Experience
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field a plus.
3. Minimum of two years experience in Human Resources field required.
4. Minimum of one year experience in a payroll or accounting role a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
1. Must be familiar with basic human resource concepts, laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
2. Understanding of human resources administrative processes.
3. Familiar with HRIS, ADP knowledge a plus
4. Planning, organizing and project coordination skills.
5. Ability to be a team player and interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff and the public.
7. Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality in all employment matters.
8. Strong customer and results orientation.
9. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
10. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Other Potential Requirements
Possession of valid Arizona driver's license
Employees must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
