We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic lead to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Mediterranean dining and a strong understanding of kitchen management and food safety practices. You will play a vital role in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to our guests. This position requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in food production and preparation.

As our Chef, you will be instrumental in :

Being a culinary hero with a deep passion for food, fluent communication skills, and the vigor to excel in a high-paced, dynamic atmosphere. The role requires an understanding of advanced culinary techniques, creative innovation, and a team-first mentality, which should all be underpinned by unwavering integrity and a positive outlook.

Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in a management role
  • Proficiency in butchery of all proteins
  • Repertoire of cuisines / sauces / techniques
  • Experience with pizza / bread making
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exemplary kitchen habits ei. cleanliness, sense of urgency, organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and level headed in stressful situations
  • Competency with spreadsheets
  • Serve Safe certified
  • Choking and CPR certified

Responsibilities

  • Monthly inventories
  • Work with Management team to meet or exceed all budgetary goals
  • Organize all recipes, menu changes and private event menus
  • Work with partners on all menu development
  • Participate in active staff education
  • Schedule all cooks and support teams
  • Hold staff accountable for cleanliness and organization
  • Communicate changes of menus to all necessary team members
  • Ordering
  • Invoice management and processing
  • Participate in manager meetings
  • Controlling costs and expenses
  • Ideal candidates should have a true love of food, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment. This position requires model integrity and a positive attitude, in-depth knowledge of cooking techniques and flavor profiles, creative thinking, and a team-first mentality.
