What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant - Part Time position at La Gorce Country Club?
The HR Assistant will provide support to the HR department by assisting with various administrative tasks related to the country club’s human resources functions. The role includes maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The HR Assistant will work closely with the HR Director and other department heads to support the smooth operation of HR functions at the country club. The position is Seasonal (November to May) part-time, 2 days a week.
Requirements:•Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
•Maintain employee records and update the HR database with relevant information.
•Assist in onboarding new employees by preparing orientation materials and necessary paperwork.
•Help organize employee training sessions and assist with employee development initiatives.
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding employment.
•Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
•Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and club events.
•Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of sensitive HR information.
•Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications:
•Previous experience in an HR role or administrative position (experience in the hospitality or country club industry is a plus).
•Basic knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
•Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
