What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Patient Driver position at La Hacienda Treatment Center?
Job Description
Assures the safe transportation of all patients, visitors and other individuals to and from La Hacienda. Also provides transportation to other locations as assigned. Coordinates all facets of the automobile transportation provided by the facility including: obtaining tickets, patient documentation, verification of schedules, obtaining direction to the location and pick-up of luggage. The driver is also responsible for the care and maintenance of the company's fleet vehicles including washing/vacuuming, obtaining gasoline, monitoring the condition of the vehicle including tires, and arranging for scheduled maintenance.
When no driving duties are available, the driver may be required to perform other duties that are within his/her qualifications. These duties may be within the Inquiry Call Center or he/she may be assigned duties in another department on campus.
Requirements:
- The position requires a flexible schedule.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Driver's must be age 25 or older.
- A Texas driver's license in good standing is required.
- Must have and maintain a clear driving record.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate in a pleasant, courteous and professional manner with all contacts.
- Must be flexible as to schedule and workday.
- Must have a neat, clean, professional appearance.
- Must be able to walk across campus multiple times during a shift.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand and lift up to 70 pounds.
- lf recovering, must have a minimum of one year continuous sobriety.
Schedule:
- As needed (PRN).
- Overnight and Weekend on-call with daily on-call pay.
- Minimum hour credit of 2 hours, if worked for less the 2 hours.
