What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coach, Middle School Boy's Lacrosse position at La Jolla Country Day School?
La Jolla Country Day School is seeking an enthusiastic, high-energy, and proven program and consensus builder to join the athletics team. This individual will coach our Middle School (grades 7-8) boy's lacrosse team, and joins a team of coaches dedicated to the well-being of all Country Day students, from Tiny Torreys (age 3) through Grade 12.
The season starts on February 18 and runs through June 5. Practices are M-F, when school is in session, from 2:15-3:15p. Games will be scheduled in the afternoons and some weekends.
Country Day has a rich tradition of athletic excellence on the field, court, and in the pool. State-of-the-art facilities combined with a passionate and dedicated coaching staff have led the Torreys to unparalleled success over the last decade. LJCDS students participate in athletics at a rate that is among California’s highest; 90% of the Middle School and Upper School students participated on at least one athletic team in 2022-2023 with 140 Upper School students playing two sports and 26 earning three-sport recognition.
You must have:
- Coaching and/or playing experience
- The physical ability to play and demonstrate the sport they will be coaching
- Experience working with youth
- Consistent positive energy level
- Punctuality and good time management skills
- Must be a high school graduate

This is a part-time position with an hourly rate in the range of $20-25.
