General Summary
Manage assigned product categories throughout bulk production lifecycle from time of development handover to receipt of product in DC. Maintain product quality and integrity without compromising delivery.
Essential Job Functions
• The ability to effectively manage multiple seasons with assigned vendors/product categories from PO issuance to product receipt.
• Work with internal counterparts on all pre-production development handovers including but not limited to tech packs, development samples, and BOM review.
• Create, issue and maintain accuracy of all production PO’s for USA shipments.
• Work with Brand ID/SERO to track PO details, trim orders, and ASN data.
• Review all incoming production samples, lab dips, strike offs, etc. and provide timely comments to ensure product accuracy and integrity.
• Manage all product testing and compliance requirements for assigned product category.
• Participate in weekly pre-production and production sample fittings and issue all visual/styling comments for vendor review.
• Work closely with vendors to prioritize needs and obtain weekly WIP reports to ensure on-time arrival of all bulk production PO’s.
• Review order file to ensure maximum fulfillment of customer start dates and perform air/sea splits where necessary. Manage appropriate salable size scales and re-balance production PO’s if needed.
• Work with production manager to foresee and report any shipment delays.
• Coordinate in-house and 3rd party quality inspections and review results to provide feedback on next step resolutions.
• Create and issue all Debit Memos to vendors.
• Work with accounting to rectify any invoice discrepancies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of the product life cycle including development and production timelines.
• Ability to effectively identify and resolve problems.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately to ensure deadlines are met.
• Self-starter and ability to work as a team.
• Ability to wear many hats and juggle multiple projects at one time.
• Must be able to work effectively across multiple functions with business colleagues domestically and internationally
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Product Development and/or Production.
• Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on MS Office software, Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge in Illustrator, Full Circle, and Centric are a plus.
Physical Requirements
Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports.
Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.
Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products.
Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
