We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Professional to join our team at La Joya Independent School District. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of our students.
About the Position:
The Healthcare Professional will create conditions for students to have the fullest possible educational opportunity by minimizing absences due to illness and creating a climate of health and well-being in district schools. You will work closely with the District Nurse Coordinator and other school staff to implement policy on exclusion and readmission of students in connection with infections and contagious disease.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting school programs of immunization, physical examinations, sight, hearing, scoliosis, and ANTES screening
- Providing monitoring and evaluations of student's health and collaborating with healthcare providers to obtain appropriate treatment plans
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree of Nursing or Associate Degree of Nursing
- Valid Texas license to practice as a registered nurse
- Experience in school nursing, preferred, or at least one or two years of experience in hospital or Home Health
