What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ethics and Philosophy Educator position at La Lumiere School?
La Lumiere School is excited to welcome applications for the position of Spanish Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school Spanish, likely at various levels, as well as working with students outside of the classroom. They should be passionate about igniting students’ interest in exploring the world around them through languages. In the World Languages Department, we focus on meeting students where they are, differentiating instruction effectively, and supporting students’ academic and personal growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach 5 sections of classes each semester
- Sponsor/supervise a co-curricular activity during two seasons
- Serve as an advisor to a group of approximately eight students
- Potentially serve on residential duty teams (responsibilities vary depending on the constellation of duties and living arrangement)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant academic discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- Three or more years of teaching experience at the secondary level preferred
- Experience working with students outside of the classroom through coaching, mentorship, or other activities preferred
Application Details
Faculty compensation packages are competitive. If a faculty member resides on campus, the school provides year-round housing and meals when school is in session for the faculty member and his/her family as a part of the benefits package.
