Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Interact with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system.
- Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with legal drinking age regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
- Uphold health and safety standards related to food handling and sanitation.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service or nightclub industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs efficiently.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food handling practices is a plus, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
