LMRV is currently hiring for a Systems Support Technician for our growing team. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.
SUMMARY: Assists in the computer software and hardware support for all departments.
Qualifications
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists end users and peers in resolution of computer software and hardware related issues as Tier 1 phone and local support.
- Answers or finds answers to user questions pertaining to specific software, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Windows OS, custom applications, industry specific applications, and enterprise applications.
- Applies personal knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to resolve or elevate to Tier 2 Support when applicable.
- Installs computers, software, phones, peripheral equipment and configuring software on PCs following department guidelines
- Sets up User accounts.
- Ships or picks up computer equipment as needed.
- Assists department in tracking assets by location.
- May test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work.
- Software and hardware evaluation and recommendation for management review.
- May write or revise user training manuals and procedures.
- May specialize by type of software, computer language, or computer operating system.
- May talk to programmers to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs.
- Other duties as needed provided by Information Systems Management
REQUIREMENTS:
- Pre-employment screenings including background and drug test
- At least one year in a customer facing tech bench/phone support role in either a retail or corporate environment.
- An extensive history with Microsoft Windows-based computing for both personal and professional/educational uses. (Windows OS and MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power Point)
- A built-in love for all computer and server-based technologies, computer, tech and Internet/cloud hosted services and products.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to speak/communicate clearly and professionally in person or via phone, email, chat, etc.
- Routinely carries equipment ranging up to 50 pounds such as PCs, printers, or servers.
- Moderate travel to remote sites for installations, equipment audits, training etc.
- Ability to work occasional weekend on call phone support when scheduled
