What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Vocational Nurse position at La Mesa-Spring Valley School District?
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor and under supervision of a Licensed Credentialed School Nurse, provides a variety of health services to assigned students including first aid and emergency care; under direction and supervision of a District Registered Nurse, performs specialized physical health care procedures and other procedures within scope of practice, for general education and special education students; provides assistance with health care referrals, mandated health screenings, immunization compliance and record-keeping services. An examination will be given to establish an eligibility list for the position of Licensed Vocational Nurse in order to fill existing and future vacancies. The eligibility list will be valid for 6 months. The current vacancy is 6.0 hours per day, 206 paid days year.
