Combination Technician

La Motte & Andrew Telephone Company is now accepting applications for a Communication Technician. We are looking for a motivated individual to perform a variety of installation and repair duties, including Internet, Phone, and Digital TV installations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair Internet, Phone, and Digital TV services
• Locate and mark underground facilities
• Perform fiber splicing and related duties
• Provide excellent customer service while working in customer homes and businesses
• Work independently to diagnose and resolve service issues
• Utilize smartphones, computers, and basic hand tools to complete tasks efficiently

Requirements:

• High school diploma required
• Experience in the industry preferred but not required—willing to train the right candidate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
• Positive customer service attitude
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and other digital tools
• Experience working with basic hand tools and drills
• Safety-first mindset
• Eligible to work in the USA

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Travel required to customer locations
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and be able to drive a company vehicle
• Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift as needed
• Comfortable working on ladders
• Must be able to work occasional off-hours and participate in an on-call rotation
