Job Title: Assistant Mixer
Reports to: Baking Floor Supervisor
Location: Northfield, Vermont
Job Summary:
At La Panciata Bakery, we are looking for hard-working individuals with a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn to join our mixing team. Your role as the assistant mixer is a very important one. You provide the foundation of every product produced at the bakery. Your attention to detail, precise measurements and team communication is what starts us down the path of making bread that is not just good, but bread that is great! This is a full time, hourly position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately measuring and weighing ingredients before adding them to the mixer
- Operating the mixer which involves adjusting speeds, timers, and incorporating ingredients gradually in stages, following recipe instructions to achieve proper mixing and texture.
- Cutting dough and preparing for various stages in the baking process
- Ensuring that workspace is clean according to quality standards
- Monitoring, testing and assessing the texture of the batter or dough to ensure it meets the desired consistency in the mixing process.
Work Hours
- Monday 6am - Completion (approximately 5 to 6 pm)
- Wednesday 6am - Completion (approximately noon)
- Thursday 6am - Completion (approximately 5 to 6pm)
- Friday 6am - Completion (approximately 3 to 4 pm)

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 50 lbs regularly
- Lift 20 - 35 lbs regularly
- Stand for long durations
- Work in a hot/humid environment
