Job Summary: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supports and assists the Occupational Therapist (OT), working as a member of a team, to provide occupational therapy and sensory integration to patients. With support from the OT, the COTA targets the acquisition of/or compensations for deficits in fine motor skills, sensory motor skills, visual perceptual skills, and self-care skills, supports patients in necessary foundational skills through individually selected motor activities. The COTA consults with team members to modify the environment and instructional methodology to support patient achievement in a home, community, vocation, project or skill.
Qualifications
Regulatory Requirements:
- Associate degree in an approved/accredited OTA program; NBCOT passed.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Current AZ state COTA licensure.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of physical medicine, modalities, anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of therapy machine operation, maintenance and repairs of same.

Salary : $25 - $35
