We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sommelier to join our international brand. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of French wines and cuisine, and will be comfortable explaining and suggesting wines to guests in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to grow in the industry and work within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Thorough knowledge of the menu and wine list
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding food, beverages, and service
- Ensure that wine stock levels are maintained and that the correct ordering procedures are followed
- Keep the wine cellar clean and well-stocked
- Recommend, explain, and sell wines to guests, enhancing their dining experience
- Work proactively to meet the needs of both guests and the restaurant team
Requirements & Preferences
- Knowledge of French wines and proper wine pronunciation
- Previous Sommelier experience (minimum 2 years) in a fine dining environment
- Ability to sell and explain wines confidently to guests
- A self-starter with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- WSet Certification (Preferred)
- CMS Certification (Preferred)
