Position Summary:
The Operations Specialist, reporting to the Associate Director of Operations, is responsible for high level administrative duties supporting the Operations Department, including, but not limited to budgeting, project tracking and development of staff training and drone operations.
Position Elements:
- Assist in coordinating and create staffing models for event and non-event operations based on fluctuating demands.
- Manage the Hollywood Bowl Drone Program:
- Training of new pilots and maintaining current pilots
- Scheduling drone flights
- Drone registration
- Drone maintenance
- Conduct drone flights and complete mission logs
- Work with Operations Department Managers in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts and track progress through completion.
- Subject matter expert in scheduling software and provide training with Operations department managers.
- Assist with the development of training programs and Power Point presentations for departments as needed and act as secondary Training Coordinator.
- Supervise Operations Command Post (OCP) during events.
- Ensure production and distribution of nightly event related OCP reports.
- Assist with Hollywood Bowl digital archives.
- Coordinate and schedule with Ticketmaster for regular maintenance of all ticketing scanning equipment.
- Respond to a wide range of customer service issues with sensitivity and care.
- Assist in year-round physical plant Operations of Hollywood Bowl, Highland Camrose Park and Audience Services building.
- Executes special projects and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- FAA Part 107 Certification (mandatory for commercial drone operation)
- Experience in operating drones for commercial operations
- Knowledge of drone operation laws
- Strong technical skills for troubleshooting and maintaining drone equipment
- Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to establish changing priorities, flexible
- Excellent initiative and inter-personal skills
- Professional demeanor in dealing with challenging patrons and staff Lift and carry up to 20 pounds
