Position : Specialist, Central Receiving
PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Responsible for the supervision of the district warehouse and the receiving, record maintenance and prompt shipping of textbooks, materials, supplies and mail for all district facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certification :
- GED / High School Diploma, preferred
- Valid Texas Driver's License; must be insurable by district's insurance carrier

EQUIPMENT USED :
Forklift, dollies, pallet jacks, motor vehicle and extensive use of computer, copier and district wide communication systems.
MENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS :
Posture : Frequent standing, kneeling / squatting, bending / stooping, pushing / pulling, and twisting.
Motion : walking, climbing stairs / ladders, grasping / squeezing, wrist flexion / extension, and overhead reaching.
Lifting : Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis.
Environment : Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dampness, humidity, and dust; occasional exposure to dangerous chemicals; work around machinery with moving parts, moving objects and vehicles.
Mental Demands : Maintain emotional control under stress, reading, writing and understanding written and verbal instructions.
Salary Information : 12 Months, 250 Duty Days, Manual Trades PG 3
Minimum : $14.10 / hr
Midpoint : $16.94 / hr
